Students who leave everything til the last minute are the worst to do group work with when you know you cant pull an all nighter because you'll be working or have other responsibilities. figure out who the 'nerds' are in your classes.playlist- you said advice other than routines, but having a set playlist of music or background noise can help you Pavlov yourself into 'Study Mode' I still use the same playlist when I want to really focus, as im so conditioned that when i hear the first track its time to knuckle down.No good thinking you'll finish an assignement only to remember you karate the night before set aside regular study/assignment time to keep on top of your workload.Put due dates of all your assignments, exams etc in straight away. Unit outline (or whatever its called for you) for each class from Day One.Electronic versions are better IMO because you can set reminders. (edited a little cos youre not a 30+ mature aged student haha) I wrote these on a previous post about studying, maybe they'll help? Maybe a lower dose, different med, or quick vs slow release. Your meds shoudnt make you shaky tbh, you might want to chat to your doctor about dosage? I know that I’m smart, and I want to go back to being a good student again, but I also want to actually start caring about my health and well-being, and I’m just really scared that I can’t do both.

I’ve tried thinking that I can do stuff I want once I finish, but it doesn’t help and I still get distracted super easily. I take meds but they don’t help, only make me shaky. This is going to sound ridiculous, but the other day I worked on two worksheets for ~6 hours. The only problem is that this means I don’t get nearly enough sleep, as I finish my homework at ~11:00-12:00 PM, then have to get ready for bed, then have to fall asleep (which can also take hours). Okay so I’ve always been really slow at everything, especially homework, so I just kind of stopped doing it, but I made it my goal this year (I don’t want to say resolution) to actually do all of my schoolwork on time, and so far I’ve been sticking to it.
